Terms of Service

How we work, what is included, what stays yours, and what we will never claim to guarantee.

Effective 1 August 2026

1. These terms

These terms apply to your use of this website and to author services provided by Global Publishers House (“GPH”, “we”, “us”). Where you engage us for a project, the written scope and quote we send you forms part of the agreement and takes precedence if anything conflicts.

2. Enquiries and quotes

Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract. Package descriptions on this site are indicative scopes, not offers. A project begins when we send a written scope and quote and you confirm it in writing.

Quotes are based on the manuscript and information you provide. If word count, condition, or scope changes materially, we will re-quote before continuing rather than absorb or invoice silently.

3. Your rights in your work

You retain full copyright in your manuscript and in the finished book. We are a services studio, not a rights-holding publisher.

ISBNs we obtain on your instruction are registered in your name or your imprint, and retail and distribution accounts remain yours. Royalties are paid to you directly by the platforms.

On full payment, you receive a licence to use the deliverables we produce for you — interior layouts, cover artwork, and prepared files — for publishing and promoting your book, worldwide and without time limit.

4. Confidentiality

We treat your manuscript and project details as confidential. We do not share them beyond the people working on your project, and we do not quote from your work publicly without your written permission.

We may describe a project in general, anonymised terms unless you ask us not to.

5. What we do not promise

Publishing outcomes depend on factors outside our control — the market, the retailers, and readers. We do not guarantee sales, rankings, reviews, awards, advertising returns, or acceptance by any retailer, distributor, or agent.

Case studies and figures on this site describe what happened for specific authors on specific books. They are illustrative, not a forecast of your result.

Third-party platforms such as Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Apple Books, Kobo, and advertising networks set their own rules and can change or reject listings at their discretion.

6. Your responsibilities

When you engage us you confirm that:

  • The work is yours, or you hold the rights and permissions needed to publish it
  • Any quoted material, images, or licensed content has been cleared by you
  • The manuscript is not defamatory, unlawful, or infringing
  • You will provide approvals, feedback, and materials within agreed timeframes

7. Revisions, proofs, and approval

Each scope states the number of revision rounds included. Further rounds, restructuring, or new material are quoted separately.

You are responsible for approving final proofs. Once you approve files for print or upload, corrections after that point are chargeable, as are reprint or re-upload fees charged by platforms.

8. Timelines

Timelines quoted are working estimates that assume timely feedback and payment. Delays in approvals, or the addition of new material, move the schedule accordingly. We will always tell you when a date is at risk rather than let it pass quietly.

9. Fees and payment

Fees, instalments, and due dates are set out in your written quote. Work is scheduled against payment, and final files are released once the balance is settled.

Advertising budgets, ISBN charges, proof copies, printing, and platform fees are paid by you to the relevant provider and are not included in our fees unless stated.

10. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel in writing at any time. Work already completed, and any third-party costs already committed on your behalf, remain payable; unearned amounts are refunded.

We may decline or end a project if the material is unlawful, if the scope changes beyond what we can deliver well, or if agreed payments are not made. In that case you receive everything completed to that point.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a project is limited to the fees you have paid us for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost sales or profit.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Website content

Text, artwork, and book cover imagery on this site are owned by GPH or used with permission and may not be reproduced without consent. Sample and portfolio artwork is shown to demonstrate design capability.

13. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published here on the date you confirm a project. Questions can be sent through the enquiry form on this site.
